When Vance appeared on Tuesday\u2019s broadcast of \u201cThe View,\u201d no one expected him to get along with the decidedly liberal and vocally anti-Trump hosts of the ABC talk show \u2014 and certainly, no one expected him to walk away from the table with one of them encouraging him to run for president \u2014 but that is what happened.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t mind a Republican on the city level because it needs a little discipline. But on the national level, I want somebody with a good heart, and those are more in the Democratic Party in my opinion.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe should be,\u201d Behar shot back, arguing that the ladies with whom she shared the table brought \u201cmany receipts\u201d when they presented their questions. \u201cTruthfully, as I said to you in the beginning of this conversation, I don\u2019t think that he\u2019s a bad guy. So if he runs against, say, [Governor] Gavin Newsom (D-CA), that will be an interesting debate to see those two because they\u2019re both intelligent.\u201d<\/p>\n
