WASHINGTON\u2014 President Donald Trump vowed Wednesday to campaign for Republicans in 35 competitive races during the final month before the midterm elections.<\/p>

Trump made the pledge during a White House Rose Garden dinner attended by Republican lawmakers who are in competitive races, as well as Susie Wiles, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, and other members of the president\u2019s cabinet.<\/p>

In the hours before the event, lawmakers\u00a0told POLITICO they hoped the president would open <\/span>his war chest of more than $403 million to back their races. The dinner comes just a week ahead of the Republican National Convention in Dallas.<\/p>

\u201cI\u2019ll be with you 100%,\u201d he promised. \u201cWe\u2019re going to do something like I did for myself in the last presidential election. Four months out I said, \u2018Ok. No days off.\u2019 If I didn\u2019t make four or five speeches a day, it was very bad.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cI just said, \u2018For four months, there will be no pleasure. I\u2019m not going to go out and play golf, I\u2019m not going to do anything. All I\u2019m gonna do is work, work, work, and fight, fight, fight, and win, win, win,\u201d he continued.<\/p>

Trump recalled holding many rallies during this time period, sometimes three in a single day; in the last two days of the campaign, he held five rallies in one day and around four the next.<\/p>

He said he would spend the final 30 days before the midterms campaigning in 35 close races where Republican candidates are tied, narrowly trailing, or holding small leads.<\/p>
