A Spanish woman delivered a heart-wrenching firsthand account of the crush of thousands of migrants who stormed the beaches of Ceuta this week as she made a desperate plea for help.<\/p>

Surrounded by a horde of Moroccan migrant men shouting and pushing, Ceuta resident Rocio cried out for help from the Spanish government, which she said has been missing in action amid the influx. Between Thursday and Friday, roughly 60,000 migrants, mainly young men, swam or scaled border fences into Ceuta, which sits on the African continent.<\/p>

Nearly three dozen people are dead, according to The New York Times.<\/p>

\u201cWe are afraid. We cannot condone this. Where are our rights as Spaniards? Where are our principles as Spaniards? \u2026 They need to fortify this city. We need police on the streets, the civil guard on the streets, we need the military on the streets. They\u2019re not there; we\u2019re alone. We cannot call the police or the civil guard because they can\u2019t keep up. We need urgent help,\u201d Rocio said during a televised interview.<\/p>

She went on to call the situation an \u201cinvasion\u201d as she broke down in tears. That was when the migrant men standing behind her began shouting.<\/p>

\u201cThis is really outrageous. I am surrounded, I\u2019m afraid. How can I not be afraid? I even feel like crying. This can\u2019t go on, this can\u2019t go on, really. This can\u2019t go on; we need help. The thing is, I\u2019m shaking. Really, this has to be lived through. You have to live through this as a woman. You have to live through this as a woman,\u201d Rocio said.<\/p>
