He noted that it would not surprise him if other settlements between pro-lifers and the Justice Department were announced in the coming months.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He told The Daily Wire that the DOJ under Trump was \u201cgenuinely interested in trying to right the wrongs of previous administrations\u201d and \u201ctrying to do what they can to restore some respect for the rule of law.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The DOJ <\/span>released emails<\/span> earlier this year showing how closely Biden officials worked with abortion activists to snoop on and prosecute pro-life advocates. Pro-abortion organizations provided dossiers to the Biden DOJ with personal information and pictures of pro-life activists who were not yet charged with any crimes, but were later arrested by the FBI.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI think there\u2019s no question that this was a politicized prosecution of Paul and the others,\u201d Crampton added. \u201cThis was a vindictive set of prosecutions meant purely to punish and deter pro-lifers from ever going back out again.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Crampton said that Congress needed to act to repeal the FACE Act. The House Judiciary Committee approved a repeal of the FACE Act last year, but the legislation has stalled out.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He noted that it would not surprise him if other settlements between pro-lifers and the Justice Department were announced in the coming months.\u00a0He told The Daily Wire that the DOJ under Trump was \u201cgenuinely interested in trying to right the wrongs of previous administrations\u201d and \u201ctrying to do what they can to restore some respect for the rule of law.\u201dThe DOJ released emails earlier this year showing how closely Biden officials worked with abortion activists to snoop on and prosecute pro-life advocates. Pro-abortion organizations provided dossiers to the Biden DOJ with personal information and pictures of pro-life activists who were not yet charged with any crimes, but were later arrested by the FBI.\u201cI think there\u2019s no question that this was a politicized prosecution of Paul and the others,\u201d Crampton added. \u201cThis was a vindictive set of prosecutions meant purely to punish and deter pro-lifers from ever going back out again.\u201dCrampton said that Congress needed to act to repeal the FACE Act.
