During a confirmation hearing for U.S. Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche on Wednesday, Blanche dismantled the Democrat-backed narrative that the Trump administration has not been transparent about convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his crimes.<\/p>\n

Blanche, who has been serving as acting attorney general since April, said that the Trump administration has made all of the Epstein files available to every member of Congress and stressed the differences in action between this administration and the previous Biden administration.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe made unredacted versions of the entire database available to everybody in this body, and we did that because of transparency,\u201d Blanche said. \u201cRemember, for four years there wasn\u2019t a peep about Jeffrey Epstein. The Biden administration did nothing to be transparent about the Epstein case.\u201d<\/p>\n

Under Trump, some 3 million pages from the Epstein files have been made available to Congress, while millions of pages have also been released publicly. According to Blanche, he is not aware of a single document that is \u201cresponsive\u201d or relevant that hasn\u2019t been released.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have been extraordinarily transparent in not only producing the records, but letting unredacted versions be available to anybody in this body,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd if after reviewing unredacted materials a member had concerns about why something was redacted, they brought them to the department\u2019s attention and we addressed that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to make sure the American people know that this administration, when it comes to Jeffrey Epstein, has been more transparent than any past administration, than Biden was, or anybody else,\u201d he said. \u201cWhat we did is we complied with the law, and if we learn new material, we will most certainly review it and make it available when it comes to the victims of this horrible man.\u201d<\/p>\n
