\u201cI recommended, to Governor Henry McMaster, Lindsey Graham\u2019s wonderful sister, Darline, to serve as interim Senator from the Great State of South Carolina. This would be a fabulous tribute to Lindsey, who loved her dearly!\u201d the president wrote.<\/p>\n

Following Trump\u2019s recommendation, the odds on Kalshi that Nordone would be named Graham\u2019s successor skyrocketed, leaping from 15% at 9:37 a.m. to 94.7% just 17 minutes later. The odds of her being appointed to fill her brother\u2019s seat were at 97% by 2:00 p.m. The two names making up the remaining 3% were Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette (R-SC) and Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC).<\/p>\n

Indeed, Graham himself said in a 2015 interview that he could think of no one better to \u201crepresent\u201d the people of the United States than his little sister.
